Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: July 2026

Website: bennyg.uk

Welcome to my website. These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for using this website and engaging in music production, engineering, mixing, or studio services.

1. Business Identity & Contracting Entity

This website showcases the work of Benjamin Green (freelance music producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist) and facilities operated under Lantern Rooms Productions Ltd.

  • Production & Freelance Services: Engagements specifically for music production, arrangement, performance, mixing, or mastering are contracted directly with Benjamin Green as a self-employed sole trader.

  • Studio Facilities & Dry Hire: Bookings specifically for room tracking or studio facility hire are contracted via Lantern Rooms Productions Ltd (Company No. 17119391, Registered in England & Wales).

The contracting party will be explicitly identified on your project proposal, quote, or invoice prior to commencement.

2. Bookings, Deposits & Payments

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (typically 50% unless otherwise agreed in writing) is required to lock in studio dates or begin production/mixing work.

  • Final Payment: Remaining balances must be cleared in full prior to the final release of high-resolution master audio files, stems, or un-watermarked mixes.

  • Cancellations: Session dates cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit to cover lost studio time.

3. Intellectual Property & Deliverables

  • Website Assets & Branding: All original text, site design, photos, branding elements, and promotional material on this website are the intellectual property of Benjamin Green and/or Lantern Rooms Productions Ltd and may not be copied, reproduced, or republished without explicit written consent.

  • Client Works & Featured Audio: Portions of the audio samples, showreels, and featured tracks on this website contain musical compositions and sound recordings owned by my clients or third-party rights holders. These are hosted strictly for portfolio and promotional showcase purposes with express permission. Ownership of all underlying compositions, lyrics, and master recordings remains fully with the respective creators or copyright holders.

  • Project Rights & Stems: For custom production or mixing engagements, formal copyright assignment, master ownership, and royalty splits are governed by your individual project agreement or quote. Final high-resolution audio files, stems, and masters will be released upon settlement of all outstanding invoices.

  • Master Recording Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of your songs and original sound recordings. Working with me in the studio or hiring me as a producer does not transfer your copyrights to me, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

  • Production & Performance Credits: Where I contribute as a producer, arranger, engineer, or session musician, I request standard professional attribution (e.g., "Produced & Mixed by Benny G" or "Instrumentation by Benny G") on physical packaging, metadata, and digital distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, etc.).

  • Royalty & Performing Rights: Specific songwriting splits or producer/performer royalty shares (if applicable to major commercial releases) will be agreed upon collaboratively before master delivery and formalised in your project agreement.

  • File Archiving & Backups: While reasonable care is taken to safeguard session files during active production, clients are ultimately responsible for storing and backing up their own final deliverables once delivered. Long-term digital archiving of raw session multitracks is not guaranteed. It is recommended to bring storage to sessions & allocate time for backups at the end of each day.

  • Specific project terms (including revision allowances, stem exports, and payment schedules) are outlined in your individual project agreement prior to session commencement.

4. Client Gear & Personal Property

Clients bringing instrument setups, amplification, or personal equipment to studio sessions do so at their own risk. Benny G is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by direct negligence of the studio.

5. Website Use & Limitation of Liability

  • This website is provided on an "as-is" basis. While I aim to keep all information current and accurate, I take no responsibility for temporary downtime or technical inaccuracies.

  • External links on this site (e.g., streaming platforms or social media) are provided for convenience; I accept no responsibility for the content or policies of third-party websites.

6. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes arising in connection with this site or services rendered shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
